The world’s first PCIe 4.0×4 controller from AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD 1TB
The world’s first PCIe 4.0×4 controller, the Phison PS5016-E16 controller, made by 28nm manufacturing technology. The advanced manufacturing process ensures that the PS5016-E16 has enough computing power for ECC processing when adopting the latest TLC NAND 3D flash. The PS5016-E16 also features eight NAND channels with 32 CE targets, DDR4 DRAM cache, and a PCIe 4.0×4 interface. In terms of features, the chip supports NVMe 1.3 protocol, LDPC error correction, wear and over-thrift technologies to improve the reliability and durability of SSDs.

Full-body copper thermal solution for amazing PCIe 4.0 SSD performance
The full body copper heatsink takes into account the heat transfer from the main components in both the front and back of the device, the controller and the NAND Flash. Copper heatsinks have 69% higher heat transfer capacity than aluminum heatsinks, giving the AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD the best heat dissipation for read/write performance.

AORUS NVMe Gen4 SSD 1TB Efficient copper heat sink design
Compared with the M.2 coated heatsink, the new efficient 27-fin copper heat spreaders add more surface area which improves heat transfer from heating sources to get thermal balance sooner. Moreover, the optimized fin array design performs significant heat exchange with any direction of air flow. Both unique design ensures the main components of the PCIe 4.0 SSD maintain proper working temperature under extremely high transfer rate.
Why is keeping SSD at lower temperatures so important?
Overheating may cause data loss. The data loss degradation factor can be a hundred times higher.
With full body copper heat spreaders, the AORUS NVMe Gen 4 hard drive can operate at lower working temperatures to improve data storage reliability. Moreover, SSDs can deliver superior performance for longer periods.
